Sikkim Kalimpong Tour |
 Long sequestered in the lap of the Himalayas, sandwiched between
Nepal Bhutan and Tibet lies a small strech of rugged land just
40 miles by 70 miles, the erstwhile Kingdom of Sikkim - now a
state of India. Sikkim provides a wide potential in tourism that
has yet largely remained unexploited. The perennially
snow-capped mountains, lush green tropical and temperate
forests, gurgling streams and the rich flora and fauna - a true
Shangrila or "Nye-mae-el" which simply means ' heaven '.
Darjeeling Tour
Situated in North East India, just south of Sikkim, Darjeeling
provides the perfect ambiance of a hill resort with it's mild
climate and laid back charm. Its verdant hills and valleys are
steeped in colour, and are interspersed with vast streatches of
rolling green tea gardens. Presiding over all this is Mt.
Kangchenjunga, the third highest mountain on Earth, looming over
the northern horizon, giving a magical aura to the land that
leaves one's senses intoxicated. |

Itinerary in Detail |
Day 01 : |
ARRIVE KOLKATA On arrival meet and
assist at the airport and transfer to
prebooked hotel. |
Day 02 : |
KOTKATA - NEW JALPAIGURI (OVERNIGHT
TRAIN) After breakfast, half day city
tour of Kolkata. Afternoon, transfer to
the railway station to board train for
NJP. Overnight in the train. |
Day 03 : |
NEW JALPAIGURI - DARJEELING Arrive NJP
and board our vehicle which awaits you
to drive you to Darjeeling . Arrive
Darjeeling and check in at prebooked
hotel. |
Day 04 : |
DARJEELING Start from early in the
morning and visit the Tiger Hill to
witness the magnificent sunrise on the
Mt. Kanchanzonga . On the way back visit
the Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop.
Back to the hotel and after breakfast
proceed for the sight seeing of the
Himalayan Mountaineering Insitute,
Podwaja Naidu zoological Garden, Labong
Rose Course, Ropeway, Happy valley tea
estate, Tenzing Rock Lal Kuthi. Come
back to the hotel in the evening. |
Day 05 : |
DARJEELING - GANGTOK After breakfast,
leave for Gangtok. Arrive Gangtok and
check in at prebooked hotel. Afternoon,
free for shopping or other individual
activities. |
Day 06 : |
GANGTOK After breakfast proceed for
sight seeing of the Rumtek Monastery,
Botanical Garden, Chorten Stupa,
Institute of Tibetology , Cottage
Industry, Flower Show, Nam Nang View
Point. |
Day 07 : |
GANGTOK After breakfast proceed for
Tsomgo (changu) lake (frozen almost 9
months) at an altitude of 12,000 ft.
Back to the hotel in time for lunch.
Evening, at leisure. |
Day 08 : |
GANGTOK - PELLINGAfter breakfast, leave
for Pelling. Arrive Pelling and check in
at prebooked hotel. Afternoon, visit
Pelling. |
Day 09 : |
PELLING After breakfast proceed for
sight seeing for sight seeing of
Pemayangsle Monastery, Rabdanse Palace
Ruins, Kanchan Dezonga Falls , Rimbi
Falls , Kechapalri Lake . Back to the
hotel in the evening. |
Day 10 : |
PELLING - NEW JALPAIGURI (DRIVE), NJP -
KOLKATA (OVERNIGHT TRAIN) After
breakfast, transfer to NJP railway
station to board overnight train for
Kolkata. Overnight in the train. |
Day 11 : |
ARRIVE KOLKATA On arrival meet and
assist at the railway station and
transfer to prebooked hotel. |
