Everest Base Camp / Kala Pattar Trek

Everest Base Camp TrekMaximum altitude gain 5545m- Trekking begins after a 30 minute flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. This trek goes through Namche Bazar, the famous market town of the Khumbu region. On the way to Namche you will see your first distant views of mighty Mt Everest. Namche and its neighbors Khumjung and Kunde, are home to many Sherpas who have made their names synonyms with high altitude mountain climbing. Namche is a traditional trade centre at the height of 3440 m.. People from different villages in this area and even from Tibet gather here for various types of trading, especially on Saturdays for the local market. After having an acclimatization day in Namche and seeing marvelous panoramic views of snow-covered mountains like Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kusum, kangaru, Lhotse, Nuptse, etc. you will find the awesome beauty is hard to explain in words. You will walk the route traveled by the famous mountaineers of the world for this is the route that leads to Everest Base-camp. Kala Pattar is a lofty shoulder of Pumori, reroute to Everest Base Camp. From here you will have breathtaking views of Everest and all her wonderful neighbors.

Day 01 :

Trip commences in Kathmandu, introductions and formalities (Height : 1336m)

Day 02 :

Sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley

Day 03 :

Fly to Lukla (2800m) then trek to Choplung (Height : 2600m)

Day 04 :

Monjo (Height : 2850m)

Day 05 :

Namche Bazaar (Height : 3440m)

Day 06 :

Rest day in Namche for acclimatisation - short morning hike

Day 07 :

Thyangboche (Height : 3870m)

Day 08 :

Rest day at Thyangboche

Day 09 :

Dingboche (Height : 4360m)

Day 10 :

Rest day in Dingboche - optional hike to ridge (Height : 3867m)

Day 11 :

Lobuche (Height : 4930m )

Day 12 :

Gorakshep (Height : 5288m)

Day 13 :

Kala Patter (5545m) then to Lobuche (Height : 4930m)

Day 14 :

Pangboche (Height : 3867m)

Day 15 :

Khumjung (Height : 3780m)

Day 16 :

Benkar (Height : 2600m)

Day 17 :

Lukla (Height : 2800m)

Day 18 :

Kathmandu by air (Height : 1336m )

Day 19 :

Day in Kathmandu - sightseeing/shopping/optional rock-climbing at Balliju Cliff - additional cost

Day 20 :

Trip concludes in Kathmandu.
